Dear
All!
20.6.2000 PLEASE
PAY ATTENTION AND READ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (in bold letters) IN THIS INFO
SHEET!!! Firstly
we want to say THANK YOU to all of you who will attend our wedding MILES AWAY
FROM PRAGUE!!! Since
we still do not have the wedding invitation, please see the following details:
DATE:
July 22nd, 2000 (SATURDAY)
TIME:
2:30 PM WEDDING
CEREMONY:
St Nicholas Cathedral, Hlavná 121, Prešov,
Slovakia WEDDING
PARTY:
Hotel Senátor
Hlavná 67,
Prešov The
town of Prešov is situated 650 km east of Prague near Košice. HOW
TO GET THERE: You
have the following options: By
Car
– it will take you 8-10 hours to get there By Train§
A
train leaves Hlavni nadrazi and goes to Kosice through Kysak – a village
only 20 km from Prešov. You don’t have to change! §
The
train schedule is the following:
The
price of a single ticket – CZK 530, return CZK 1060 – 2nd
class. First
class is 50 % more expensive. Sleeping
compartment – additional CZK 260 – a compartment for three people. How to get from Kysak to Prešov: 1. Usually there is a train connection from Kysak to Prešov. A slow train waits for the fast one to arrive to Kysak and only then departures to Prešov. 2. A Taxi Option – Do not expect taxi waiting in front of the station, it’s too expensive for locals. Let me know in advance and I will arrange a taxi to pick you up. TAXI COST FROM KYSAK TO PREŠOV IS APPROXIMATELY 500 SKK Telephone for AB Taxi Prešov (the most honest taxi company in the world) +421-91-77 33 733 By
plane
– to Košice Airport 40 km distance from Prešov §
The
cheapest ticket I found so far is for approx. CZK 6.000. If you consider this
option, make advanced booking as it gets pretty busy. § The quickest way to get to Prešov from Košice Airport is by a taxi. There is a bus from the airport to the main bus and train station in Košice – it only runs three times per day though. It will take you an hour to get to Prešov by bus or by train from Košice. ACCOMMODATION: It
is our pleasure to announce that we will cover your accommodation expenses
from
Friday July 21st until
Monday July 24th (breakfast included) §

THE EXCHANGE RATE SKK/CZK. Czechs usually have better rate to convert from CZK
to SKK than Slovaks! To
get more information about the town of Prešov go to WWW.PRESOV.SK
internet address. It is in English. If
you want to see the cathedral where Erik and myself get married, click on St
Nicholas Church in the main menu of Presov Internet Site. Prešov
is a charming city with one main street only and everything is within a
walking distance. When
using public transportation, make sure you have a valid ticket for SKK 8 –
the fine is SKK 800,- so it’s worth having one. There
is an Irish Pub in Prešov which stays open until 7 am. The address is
Slovenská 39. The
Wedding Ceremony in the Church will take ˝ hour only so try to be there on
time. The priest who will marry us will be my younger brother Jan. We
will also have an official interpreter translating the ceremony into English. After
the ceremony is over, we will walk to Hotel Senator which is only 80 m from
the Church. The Wedding Party will start with a welcoming drink followed by a
main meal. Coming
from a Catholic family it is a tradition to say a prayer before eating so I
would like to ask you to respect that and stand while we will be praying. It
will only take a few minutes. Around midnight I will change my wedding dress for a national costume and will be allowed to dance ONLY FOR MONEY. So bring along some CASH, guys. Afterwards
WE WILL JUST PARTY!!! There
will also be a Pool
Table available. Music
– DJ – not Vlad Rinco!! WARNING - We
will have to listen to some RUSH Music. We think we covered all the major issues. See
you in Prešov!!! Love, Anna
&
Erik
