Eating Out
Almost all restaurants on Koh Samui were outdoors. The weather is so warm all
year round there is no need for walls. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of
Anna eating as she didn't want photos of her with her mouth full.
Our wonderful friends from Portugal, Dinora and Joau who were married on the
same day we were.
Anna wants a baby, but I managed to talk her out of this one.
Tuk Tuk Drivers were definitely the way to get around. One had to
beware of the "quick just to have a look stop". The driver typically
got several liters of benzine (Gasoline for the Americans) for free if he
brought tourists into the shop. Somehow they were always able to pick us out of
a crowd.
This band was excellent. It was definitely interesting to see a Thai
band playing Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Doors. Wouldn't you
know it, they didn't know any RUSH.
Miscellaneous Scenes Around Bangkok
The Queen of Thailand, view from a street, a metro station (actually "Skytrain"),
and somebody elses wedding.
Patpong is the "famous" Red Light District of Thailand.
Canals
Bangkok has more canals than Venice.
The canals which are used extensively for transport double as a swimming
pool/sewage drain.
